Marko Spalatin est un artiste abstrait géométrique et un proponent du Op Art (Art Optique) d'origine croate, aujourd'hui citoyen américain.

Origine et Migration : Né à Zagreb, Croatie (alors Yougoslavie) en 1945, il immigre aux États-Unis en 1963 vers la fin de son adolescence.
Formation : Il obtient son Bachelor of Science (BS) en Art en 1968 et son Master of Fine Arts (MFA) en 1971 à l'Université du Wisconsin-Madison.
